We need a good name for this submission - think of acronyms that mean something to the NW Community


This is for all members of the NWCE steering group and other interested staff to submit suggestions for the proposal for the JISC Strand D: Repository Enhancement Projects

I will include papers for reading, feedback from previous submissions and where we went wrong. Please contribute to this WIKI during the next few weeks. Our deadline is 12 noon on Thurs 21 June.

The Repository Enhancement Projects are expected to offer sustainable and embedded growth of interoperable repositories for learning, teaching and research. Tie-in with the developing national (international) context is important as is progress in the deposit of content and supporting institutional policies. Enhancement Projects will also help to develop and evaluate enhanced repository solutions. JISC will only fund up to 50 per cent of the total project costs. For consortia enhancement projects between £50,000 and £200,000 is available. It is anticipated that between 6 and 12 projects will be funded. Projects should run for eighteen months.
